I don't notice that on mine. The only thing I notice, actually, is when I am typing with both hands, the battery cover seems to smoosh into the phone a little...e.g. it isn't as tight as it should...

Yea, it is not a feature on the 7520 unfortunately. However, when it was an option on my previous i730 and i860, I found that I was very excited to have that feature, but I did not use it that often...
