Who uses their 8300 naked?
Please Login to Remove!
I don't mean you're naked while you're using it, but who has the device naked (without any skins, cases).
I use it naked.

I have a screen protector on it but that is it at the moment. I am waiting for a holster/skin deal to be made.

well I would use it differently but they don't have any alternatives. I don't like the side holster. :(

I finally have the skin/screen protector combo that I wanted and I am satisfied. But, for the first week or so, I carried it naked and worried every stinking minute about scratching the hell out of the Curve. I carried my 7130c naked because the skin I had added too much bulk and it was beat up anyway. I didn't even care by the time the Curve arrived.
New toy, new attitude.

Carried the phone semi-naked up until today, that is I carried it in an OEM leather belt-clip case almost always...but without any skin or protection. I really like the way the phone feels in my hand...and baby my phone to the hilt, so I was not worried.
Today, I got my OEM belt-clip case/OEM skin combo from eShoplimited.com, and have been trying it out this evening. I like the case...but not sure I don't like the regular OEM case better. I am OK with the skin. It feels a little more "grippy"...but I am not sure I don't like the naked phone better.
Hmmm...

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)
I actually have the this piece of plastic that came on the screen right out of the box still on until I get my InvisibleSHIELD. If I'll get a holster or not, I'm not sure yet. How do you guys like the OEM skin? I am thinking about getting the black one. Any pics out there with a black OEM skin?

Naked Baby! Not a big skin fan. Got the OEM skin for the 8800 when I got the phone, and it actually made the phone more slippery. Anyway both my Curve and my 8830 sleep nicely in the OEM leather swivel cases, naked and all!

I really like the skin. It's got a very nice feel to it. I find it quite grippy, actually. And I don't much like the cases that are available. I prefer horizontal to vertical cases. Besides, I can shove the Curve into my pocket and not have a ton of bulk, even with the skin on.

Naked baby!
The screenshots people put up earlier (another thread) with skins did look slick, but generally I'm not a big skins fan, especially on a slick looking device.
What's the point of great form factor if you have to cover it up? That's my main gripe with the iPod, at least. The first generation nanos looked slick as hell, but the screen and back scratched really easily and the front smudged easily, so you basically had to wrap that puppy and cover up the slick form.
Thankfully with the curve (and most every cellphone I've had), the case materials and screen don't seem to scratch or smude nearly as easily as iPods do, so I'm rolling naked. As I said earlier, though, some of the curve skins look pretty slick too so you can't go wrong either way. Not like Apple where you're kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't. Wonder if that is going to be a prob with the iPhone...

I carry mine naked, and in my pocket. Im not very tough on my devices, and have never had one get scratched or anything. I have had BBs since the 850 days.
Probably helps that my company pays for my devices ;)
