Cyberjack,

The '123' is caused by the registration key field. Once registered this will disappear.

For a weather issue, exit the program using the Menu/Exit command and re-start.

ahovis...BBLight continuously polls the system, thereby draining battery life. I won't add a feature unless it's efficient and this one isn't. There's no way to do what BBLight is doing without something continuously chewing up power on the BB. I'm a nut for insuring that my software doesn't reduce battery life or change BB performance.

I noticed in the summary list of Pocket Day's features that you mention "menu links to BBLight". Is this still the case or are you using a different way of activating the backlight. Is the continuous polling of BBLight something that has been added in the latest version?

rta53,

I've removed the menu links to BBLight because you can now define your own Hotkey to any app using the key settings. I don't know if BBLight has always polled, but in order to do something with user activity on the BB you have to continuously poll the system.

After your suggestion of exiting. I exited and re-launched and it defaulted back to New York on the weather. I went into settings to see if my zip code was still in there and it was. So I went back to weather and did a refresh weather and it appears to have fixed the issue. It's just strange that it defaulted back to New York even though my zip was in the settings. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the info. I normally don't use the auto-backlight feature, but after enabling it in utilities for a while and then disabling it, the light still comes on when I pull my BB out of the holster. How do I get it to stop? I tried resetting utilities and that didn't work either.

Default 123 Symbol

Thanks that is GREAT news! I believe you have just incented me to register ASAP. I DID read the other notes in the thread on this but was not 100% sure that this was the root of the issue.

I appreciate the help.

rta53,

Are you also using the new version of BBLight which has this feature as well? If not and you've changed the util settings to not do this, it should have taken effect right away. If it hasn't, then pop the battery to reset everything.

Mark,

The battery pull did the trick. I only have version 1.0 of BBLight loaded. Also sometimes when I select or deselect an option in the utilities I get this message: Uncaught exception: close() called when not displayed.

Thanks

How do you have it check multiple stock quotes? I can only seem to configure it for one.

Toddzilla,

For multiple stock quotes separate each with a '+' sign. For example, dell+msft+goog

Great App

Anyone have a problem with their "unread e-mail" line not refreshing to represent the actual number of unread messages in the message list? I looked in the messages folder and pressed the * key for all unread messages and there are less on the indicator there than in the Pocekt Day Indicator.

Also the 123 icon on the top right corner seems to be permananetly fixed there and I do not have BBDay installed

If I did an OTA installation - how can iI remove the program and do another OTA installation?

An ideas?

efixman,

pocketday counts all unread email in all folders. With the regular message app, there may be other things being counted. If PocketDay shows more then look in all your folders, especially the saved mail folder. Also, exit PD using the menu/Exit function and restart it to see if that helps. The 123 will go away after you register. It's caused by the Registration Key field that doesn't show up after you register.

To remove an OTA go to home/options/applications, find PD and hit delete from the menu. A new OTA will completely overwrite the old, so there's no need to uninstall.

Thank you very much Mark.

Also, is it possible to "Snooze" tasks (such as in Outlook)? I know that the interface in PocketDay just taps in to the built-in task function of the BB, so I doubt this is possible.

Default Still can't get weather/stocks from Vodafone UK....

Hi

Has anyone managed to get the weather working from a vodafone (none BES) account? I'm using a 7100v, running 4.0 (I had the same issue at 3.8), and according to vodafone my APN settings are correct.

I can browse the web perfectly, but PocketDay gives me either malformed address, or (sometimes) a set of empty weather titles.

Any UK users got this working?

Default further to weather not working in vodafone uk...

Hi

I can get the weather headings if my APN is set to wap.vodafone.co.uk, with a user of [email address], password user.

The FAQ on here says wap.vodafone.uk - this gives me a malformed address error.

Hmmm.

shaunconn,

Try these:

APN: internet

After you change these exit PD using the Menu/Exit command and restart.

and leave both username and password blank. I had another vodaphone UK user and this is what worked.

Hi

Perfect. I like that. Except that it looks like rain again.

Many thanks.
