I upgraded from a 8310 to a 8900. In the latest version of Desktop Manager V4.7 it fails when I try to create a backup. The last entery on the screen is 'Content Store' and the I get an 'Unknown Error' - and the backup fails. Any help?
Try this:
go to Backup/Restore then Advanced>select Content Store and clear. That should work...at least it did on my backup error for Browser Cache...

Here is the answer: Connect to DM - under Backup & Restore go to Advanced and copy each database from ‘Device Database’ to ‘Computer Database’ until you find the corrupt one – make a note and complete the rest of the files. You now have a backup under ‘computer databases’ without the corrupt file – save the backup in the ‘file’ dropdown.
Disconnect the phone from DM and go to settings > options > Security Options > General Settings
Hit the menu key > select Wipe Handheld.
After the phone has reloaded connect to DM and restore the backup created previously and all should be well – mine is.
