Hi,

Just got a 7100v phone, and I am looking for a program, whereby I can save MS Excel attachments on my phone (7100v) and then transfer it out to my laptop via the usb cable. Then once I have editted the file, upload it back to the phone (7100v) and then attach it and then send it by email?

Also are there an File Management softwares for the phone itself which could sync it with the desktop?

Looking at eOffice, miniexcel at the moment.

I know Blackberry is designed to view the files, but the files I get are too complex to edit on a screen so small.

Thanks

If you have BES or BWC, the file should also be available on your desktop or notebook directly. Why not edit this version rather than try to go to the trouble of uploading/downloading, etc? After editing on your computer, you could email to yourself if you want the final version available on the Blackberry. This seems quicker and easier.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

The problem is when I am abroad in USA or elsewhere in the world, I do not have access to the internet for my laptop and thus cannot get the file directly to the laptop hence I need to do a transfer between the blackberry to the laptop and back to blackberry to send out, as it is the only way I can send the email.

Is it possible? Or likely in the future?

You have a 7100. Have you tried using it as a modem in those cases?

I don't think the 7100 has modem facility. Otherwise this would be good too.

I have version 4.0 installed, do I need to downgrade to 3.8? As I have the modem file in the right location, but it says it is not the right file, thus can't at the moment use it.
