Default 3 Simple Questions...

Please Login to Remove!

I think they are fairly simple, so I did not waste the space of 3 threads.

1. I am getting the 8320 on Wed. I believe I read that the web opens to mobile pages all of the time. Is that true. I had the 8700 and don't believe that did that.

2. Is there a speed to processors of smartphones. I believe there is. If so, does anyone know what I had with my 8700g, and now my DASH, and what I will have with the curve. I always look to improve.

3. Lastly, I saw a link to links for hardware for the 8300 etc, but I am looking for the link, if I remember correctly, to a page with a list of all different kinds of reviews of cases by 3 different members, mark being one of them. I see that the format of the site has changed, and I don't know if those other 2 are still members. does anyone know who the other 2 case reviewers are or were, or bottom line, can someone give me a link to 8320 cases...seidio, forte', etc..

thanks so much.

1. not automatically to mobile pages.

2. Yes, there is a speed. i don't know the comparison or ratings.
8310 = 312 mhz

3. Here somewhere? Hardware & Accessories - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community
I searched on "case review" and got quite a few threads

The BB Browser does format the page for viewing on the BB, however.

Thanks for those answers J & J. I didn't think it was in mobile mode when I had my 8700g. I did read a review that said it did. Is it possible it does for ATT or Verizon, or possibly Vodafone overseas?

If anyone has the speed on the 8700, Dash and now the 8320 I'd still be interested.

Thanks
Eric

This can be controlled from the Browser>Options>General Properties>Default View. You can choose "mobile" or "desktop". Also, when viewing a page you can hit Menu>[Other] View. (If you are in Mobile View then the item will say "Desktop View", and vice versa.)

[At least it does on my T-Mobile 8320 running 4.2.2.171]

If the website you're browsing has a script to determine your browser, then it will return a mobile or wap version of the website unless, you have your BB's emulation mode set to Microsoft IE, in which case full html mode may be displayed by that website. . . again, it's dependent on the website your visiting if they actually hosts alternate sites for moblie browsing . . .
