Default Email

Please Login to Remove!

I signed up for the Webmessenger, yet I can not use it due to lack of BES right now. Anyway, I keep getting the email from them something about

This message is used to carry data between the blackberry handheld and an associated server.

I delete it, set up a filter to avoid getting it, but every 5 minutes it sends to me again! HELP! How do I stop this damn thing? I couldn't find an email address on their webpage to send a message to them asking to cancel this email sending to me.

Hoping someone here can help me out.

Did you do a complete uninstall of WebMessenger? And did you sign into your account on their web page and make sure you have removed the reference to your email address?

I never installed it on the BB, nor on the desktop. The webpage when I signed up said they'd send me an email telling me how to DL the trial version and all. I got those, but never downloaded them because of reading that I needed a BES so I decided not to. Will check the page again for login and try that route. Thank you

Not a problem. If that is in fact the solution, we should find a way to inform our good friends at the company -- they should correct that glitch.

For what it's worth, getting an IM client was the primary reason I decided to join Mailstreet. I really like Webmessenger -- it works great! And I really like having full access to IM on the road. It is, however, a very expensive solution.

Mailstreet:
Set up charge - one time - $39 (?)
Exchange Server cost - monthly $11 (?)
Blackberry BES - monthly $12 (?)

Webmessenger:
Annual - $48

You could do it for less using myblackberry.us ($10 per month) and IM+ ($23 I believe). I'm not sure about tech support on myblackberry.us, and I don't like IM+ as much as Webmessenger, but the cost difference is compelling.

Ok, another problem just came up. I didn't register per-se with them. They had me fill in this little questionare thing before I was able to get the email to download the program and blah blah blah...ACK im vibrating again from that email crap......anyway, I never got asked to enter a username and password, so I have no actual account to log in to :(. I'm confussed as to why my filters aren't working. Also how to stop this, it's annoying LOL.

How did you set the filters? Are you using the displayed name, or the underlying name?

I use the webclient. I set (opens to look):

if ALL of these conditions are true:

From Contains [email address]

Subject contains RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c62

Body contains This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry Handheld and an associated server.

From contains [left blank]

Then do the following with the message:

Blackberry Web Client
Move to folder: Deleted Items

Handheld:
Do not forward messages to handheld

that's how it's set on the web client login for filters.

I know this is silly -- but is the subject always EXACTLY the same? Do ANY of those numbers change at all? And is that email address also the display address? If not, perhaps try the display address?

What if you revise the filter to ONLY pick up the BODY or the SUBJECT? Try to eliminate the fields that are bothering the filter, but leave a filed that you are sure will only pick up the messages you want. Sound like either subject or body would do. Pick the least number of conditions -- and see what happens.

Seeing as how I do not use redirector ;) and judging by the body of the email saying "webmessenger" "blackberry" and the like. It's a fairly safe bet it is from them, and not a redirector issue

However with new filters it is resolved, thank you Kirson for the help
