Anyone come across this problem before, we have a 8700v at our work that will sync to any sim, receive and send emails and SMS but will not make or receive calls.
Always get Authorization failure.
If we put the sim in any other BB works fine.
I have reinstalled OS and reset numerous times but no change, I have even tried different OS versions. We are on Vodafone UK.
have you tried other working sims in that device? are all users on vodafone as there have been major outages the past fornight affecting being able to make/receive calls.
I would definatly check that no It policy has been set on the BES though.
Various Sims have been tried in the BB, all work in other BB.
There is an IT policy on the handset but it is the same policy used on all our other BB, stil trying to use it on the same BES as was previously used.

As the IT policy is the same as all other devices and the sims work fine in alternate devices it sounds as though the device itself may be faulty. I would give vodafone a call and see whether they can replace the device for you which they shouldbe able to do if it's within warranty.
