I thought the Pearl only supported up to 2GB, while the Curve (8300) supported 4GB. Could be wrong, which would not be the first time...

Do you have a 4GB microSD card that you've tested this with?

It has been confirmed on pinstack that 4gb works with the pearl using the latest .101. Musiclee look at the sticky of the 8100 and follow those intructions

And your pearl sees the card as a 4 gig one, or a 2 gig one (could work, but only format it to 2 gigs), please confirm this.

Dude chill, nothing is proven yet. From what I have seen with the new os and a non-sdhc 4gb card it will work. Only thing I have not seen tested is actualy pushing 4 gb of data to it.
