Ok, first off do you have a bluetooth gps. The pearl does not have one built in.

Second, what gps software are you using. This could have something to do with it also.

I think you need to be a bit more specific in order to get the help you're seeking. First thing you need to be more specific about is whether or not you have a bluetooth GPS Puck such as a Holux 240 or GlobalSat. The Pearl does not have GPS built in to the phone, you need to buy a separate device to sync with your Pearl in order to use GPS on your phone. Second, you need to specify what program you are using - BBMaps (the software that comes with the phone) or software you downloaded? You said you want to get the list that tells you step by step - do you mean you want to get the turn by turn directions?

It sounds like you're looking for the turn-by-turn directions from BBMaps, here's what you do:

1. Go in BBMaps application
2. Push the Menu Key select "Directions"
3. follow the prompts (enter address you want directions from and to)
4. the map should come up, on the bottom of the map should be the turn-by-turn directions, if you want more detailed directions hit the menu button again and select "details"

I hope that helps.

Try using google maps on your pearl, It has a way better user interface. Also recognizes more addresses, you may be inputting one that BBmaps does not recognize.
