I have an 8830 BB and I also have a Motorola bluetooth(the phone does NOT function as a phone any more-turned off) phone. The BB and the phone see each other and are able to cummunicate but I can't download pics and tunes via bluetooth from the phone to the BB. Any ideas??

Yes... you have to go into "Media" and then bring up your options (the key to the left of the scroll wheel) and hit "receive using bluetooth". Then send the file from your other device. Should work.

Does the moto HAVE the transfer capability? (not sure how much you know about this, but just because it's Bluetooth capable doesn't mean it can transfer files)

Good point woodie... if it's a verzion razr I am pretty sure verzion blocks bluetooth sharing of audio (not sure about pictures) on that device. Verizon strikes again.

I wasn't trying to incriminate Verizon, though it's possible I guess. I was just saying I don't know the actual capabilities of the moto.

I haven't tried transfering anything yet with my 8830, but hope it works!
