I'm having the same issue with a laptop here in my office. same setup as you.

One question, is the laptop set up to do offline folders in outlook?

Anyways, if you find an answer, I'd like to know what it is!

The user was deleting the item and then removing it from deleted items folder (this he wasnt telling me). if he doesnt remove from the deleted items then it work.

So is this a limitation in the BES software that it has to see an email move from the Inbox to the "Deleted Items" folder to recognize that that email was actually deleted? This is UNACCEPTABLE and downright crappy software if you ask me. If I move any email out of my Inbox on my desktop or laptop statio, in any method other than doing a standard delete, then my handheld becomes out of sync with the items on the server's inbox.

Have you been able to make any progress on this or has Blackberry offered any response or plans to fix anything in the future?

Thanks,

-Chip

This is how the blackbery knows that emails have been deleted. If it does not find the email in the deleted items folder, it has no way of knowing that an email has been deleted. Anyone who emptys there deleted items folder straight away or does a permanant delete, the bes won't know what to do, it can't find the email in the inbox or the deleted items, so it leaves it on the handheld.

We had the problem as well, but I think I've fixed it.

As stated, if you SHIFT-del emails (Outlook) they won't delete from your inbox.

Also, I have removed Desktop Manager from the users PC's. When they would sync with DM, the software would create a regkey in HKCU and this particular key would stop the handheld and the email client from reconciling properly. I have also configured everyones BES user accounts to only sync Inbox and not Sent Items.

I have only left Handheld Manager installed which basically only lets the Handheld charge itself on the cable. I delete the reg key and do a Reconcile Now and it seems to work.

The is info on the RIM site regarding this reg key.
