Yup. Verizon's 8830 will work as CDMA in the US on VZW's netowrk, and GSM across other countries
only with Vodafone's service. Partners in crime.
Sprint's will be 'unlocked' per say. CDMA in the US on Sprint, and the SIM works with most providers outside of the US.
