Hey new here and have a few questions. i am have been given the task of BES Admin and after accepting the role. i took a look throught the events logs and came across a few things. going to see if anyone could help me here.

I am currently running BES 4.0.6.12 all hotfixs/patches installed on a 2003 sever using Exchange 2003 as the mail cleint.

here are a few of the warning i am getting;

"Could not update folder state"

"Found a memory memory cached packageDB 036A3948 for hardware ... and flash size ...."

"RequestHandler::HandleITADMINDataCommand - ITPolicy Fail Ack for the command REQUEST_KEY_GENERATION - Processing packet, Tag=4150704"


anyone have any info on these

Key Regen indicates that the device isn't sending/receiving a new encryption key. This could be an older device. This error gives you the user name. If it isn't a 6710, you can force the device to send a new encryption key, or you can tether it and do it that way.

Could not update folder state. There is probably a technical answer, but mine is "it happens." I get this one periodically, but not consistently. I mark it up to hiccups.

The Found a memory of size for device... I have loads of these and only got them after rebuilding my BES but keeping the original SQL database. I think these are backup files for handhelds that for some reason are orphaned. I wish I knew how and where to get rid of them.

you are right the ones who can't get the Key reg are our older devices.
