Default Remove myself from "Reply All"

Please Login to Remove!

Is there any setting that I can change to prevent being included in emails where I reply all? Essentially, I'd like the BB to behave like Outlook so I'm not sent the message (I already have a copy in sent items).

TIA

after hitting reply all, highlight your name in the TO or CC field, click to DELETE FIELD.

Thanks, but i already new that

I was hoping there was a way to not have to do that. In my WinMo device I can set my address and it'll automatically exclude me from Reply All. I was hoping the BB had a similar feature.

Funny, I just tested mine... if I am the TO or the CC recipient of the mail, then on REPLY ALL, I am not included as a recipient.

So for some reason, I can't duplicate your situation. Apparently the BB does have the same feature. BB 8700g here, OS 4.1.0.346

Reply All on the BlackBerry does work like it does in Outlook. If the address you are sending from is different from the address you received the email on, you will be included as a recipient.

For example, all email accounts in my company are our initials (e.g., [email address]). Our first names are set up as aliases for our accounts (e.g., [email address]). If someone sends me an email to the latter it appears as a recipient in a Reply All because my account is set up as the former.

Well, this is great news, but i can't get it to work. My default address is first.last and that is what they are getting sent to (I use show address).

Does the BES server have a different default address setting? I think I'll have to check with the BES admin.

I also have an alias of firstinitiallastname@, but that is secondary and not published anywhere except in the GAL as a secondary address.

Are you sure you are not also in a distribution list that is included in the to: or cc? We use a "heldesk" dl and i get a duplicate of the e-mail when I reply all, but I never get them in my inbox otherwise whether I send from outlook or BB.

Yeah, not on any DL's. the only people in the To line are individuals.
I asked a colleague and he's fine, so something must be messed up on the BES. It must have a different default address for me and I cna't get a hold of the BES admin right now. My guess is that the set me up with firsinitiallastname in there rather than first.last and that's why it's doing this. Just a hunch.

So, that wasn't it. I sat with the BES admin and we looked at it and the default address is the address showing in BES and it's the address showing under Enterprise Activation. Same for the colleague that doesn't exhibit the problem.

Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?
