Im new to black berry and i searched the site and nothing really answerd my question is there any loop holes to getting Aim Yahoo or msn. Im on the Smart Access plan which limits me to having certain plans and i can not get the Data plan for a whole year so if anyone has any info it would be alot of help THANKS

Nope, BlackBerry's require a BlackBerry Data Plan for anything data related ie web, email, IM etc. without a BlackBerry Data Plan all you have is voice and SMS, end of story and there's no workaround to this.

i dont have a data plan and im using Opera mini to access the internet. Im using Ramble to use AIM and i also have SMS text and voice.

I have the $20 unlimited plan which has unlimited internet access and 200 text....im on Cingular

What will end up happening is you will be charged for usage. Even though you do not have a data plan the BB will regester to the network and you will be charged. But dont take my word for it just look at your next bill

I was doing the same on tmobile's $5.99 net plan for a while. But found it slow and limiting, much happier on BB plan.

according to some of the threads around here and other forums, tmobile will be cutting off access to certain third party apps like opera mini if you're using a regular tmo internet plan. if thats the case and they plan to implement this and you're on tmo, then you should probably be lookin into a blackberry data plan.

tmo users dont have data usage charges.

thanks for all the help you guys it helps alot when people understand things lol. but back to my questions if i jus have a basic plan with tmobile cause i use opera mini and ramble for AIM cause thats basically what i want is AIM so if i can do so plz throw a link in here that i can get it on my BB thanks alot again
