Hi everyone,

I have a strange problem with my alarm after I did upgrade to 4.2.0.67 from Rogers:
Before upgrade, when alarm came off I used to punch Mute (standby) button on the top of the Pearl and that will snooze alarm for the next 5 min I like to repeat it for few times before I forced myselve to fully wake up.
Now, when alarm comes off and I punch the same button it snooze my Pearl forewer (display keep showing Snooze, Dismiss etc.) but no single sound is coming out of my Pearl and as you can imagine I oversleep everything.

Can anyone advise me what to do?

I'm having a different problem. Normally when the alarm goes off you have the option to "cancel" or "snooze". If I do nothing (because I'm still sleeping) the device remains waiting for an answer to the C or S. In the previous version the alarm would continue to ring as if I did press the snooze. Has anybody else noticed this?

Updated to the Cingular .71 - no effect to the Alarm

I have the same problem too. Sometimes the alarm goes on and sometimes it doesn't.

The only solution that it seems to work is to pull out the battery. But then it would be like that the next day though.

any fixes for this? my alarm turns off automatically after 30 seconds (even using the default tones). i've tried all the settings for the alarm (snooze on/off, beeps 1/2/3, etc) with no luck. help!

Any fixes out there yet? For some unknown to me reason about once every two or three weeks it fails to sound. I wake up late to find the snooze screen but it never rang. I can push the snooze to test to see if it will ring in five minutes and sure enough it does ring. Anyone have any ideas

Have you tried upgrading to the 4.2.1 OS? Check ths stickies at the top of the 8100 thread for the latest OS thread.
