Loving my 8800 and wanting to keep it safe. Would prefer to avoid a bulkier skin like the one BG showed a few weeks ago, but I'm curious about this invisible shield. Can someone explain how the full body shield works? The website says it protects the screen and back. So the ends, sides, and keyboard are all still exposed? Also, how do you remove the battery/memory card? Is the back shield in pieces? Thanks in advance.

I think it comes in pieces, so one big piece will cover the front, a couple will cover the sides, and one will fit the back, whle another fits the battery cover itself. Its cut so that it fits the major sections of the bb.

Example - I got one for my ipod nano. One piece went around the middle, another circlular section covered the tracking thingy, and another covered the round circle in the middle. Lastly, two covered the bottom and top and were cut so they would accomodate the jack, usb and hold button.

All in all very comprehensive and these things are crystal clear after they are put on. And tough as heck - I've tried scratching my nano and I don't even come close!

I had one for my 8700 but just got the screen cover, not the whole body. I will not make that mistake again - the screen cover worked great but the rest of the plastic took some serious wear.

The fit is perfect!

I have used Invisible Shield on th 8700 & Pearl with great results.

On the 8700 for over 1 1/2 years, still looks new.

I just ordered one too.

Does the shield work well in the sun, any glare?

Thanks

Best Skins Ever is good as well. Its the same material as Invisible Shield, but half the price. They don't have a cut for the 8800 yet, but it won't take lone before they do. They cost $6.99 for a full device skin. $4.99 for screen alone.

i just finished applying the full body from shield zone. Overall, i am pretty happy. I have had these things on every device with a screen I have ever had. I have put on quite of few of these things.

However, i did not think the side protectors were a good fit at all. Well, they did fit well but the bottoms were not cut properly to fit around the curvature of the 8800. So much so that I did not put on the sides.

The rest is great though.

This will protect tbe 8800 from scratching/scarring, but will this reduce the impact of a fall, say if you drop the 8800 by accident?

I was wondering the same thing. I watched the demo video and I don't hardly see how it provides any shock protection, but hopefully there are some experienced users out there who can answer this for us.
