Post BES cutover on knife-edge issue

I recently cutover a BES from one server to another using the knife-edge guide from RIM. This worked fine except for a couple of issues. One is that the MDS service does not start automatically now. Two the lookup feature no longer works to find users in the global address book to e-mail. Three there are a few devices that now have the enterprise activation icon on the main screen. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what could be causing this situation and would appreciate any help that anyone could give.
