Does the Pearl have a "failed SMS" sound or notifier?

Sometimes an SMS doesn't go through and the only way I can tell is the little red x beside the message instead of the check mark. It's knid of annoying because I usually set the phone down before the message has sent.

Any help would be great.

Could be that when trying to send the phone loses service. I work in the medical field and when I go to certain areas (even in an office) I lose reception. When you try to send it again does is go? Is the phone in the same area when you get the red x's? Also based upon your service provider, how is the coverage area where you are trying to send the SMS?

No there is none, I tried and asked and there is no option for that.

there is a failed SMS tone its the same as if you received an SMS.... what ever ringtone your BB is set to for SMS is the same you will hear if you had an error. Most of the time its a simple protocol error. I also get the red X sometimes but i know to check because it sounds like a just received a text
