Default Call Forwarding Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I've searched on a few ideas and can't find the problem. I setup forwarding on my 8100, Forward Unanswered Calls > If Busy (My Work #), If No Answer (Voice mail).... I have all my appointments scheduled in the calendar and 'Show Times As' is set to Busy. But this doesn't properly forward the call. Do I need to set something in the profile that I'm using that will recognize it as 'busy' instead of the calendar?

I'm pretty sure that "If Busy" means that if the phone is busy (you're on a call) not you being busy on your schedule.

Setting a time as busy in calendar DOES NOT disable the phone or auto forward calls...

I have never heard of the idle on a blackberry do you mean in standby? Even then it will ring before it gos to voicemail. You can set in the phone options to forward all calls if your in a meeting or something that option is like i said in options > call forwarding

I would just change your profile to silent while in a meeting and then set the phone to forward to the proper number when you don't answer it. Wouldn't that work?

I also have a 'call forwarding' issue.
One of my users had set the different 'if busy' 'if no answer' 'if unreachable' settings up to go to his voicemail etc.
He then set his 'forward all calls' for one occasion to go to his work landline.
When he went to take it off this, all of his previous options were no longer available - as in, they weren't there to select or anything.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how this could be rectified?
Thanks

I tried to use the menu to do call forwarding and the no answer/busy/unreachable when I first got the Pearl, but it didn't work the way I wanted.

So, I used the *004*<number>*11*15# code to do the no answer/busy/unreachable. The "11" is for voice, which you shouldn't change, and the "15" is for the number of seconds of delay before it's transferred. This depends on how many rings you wish your phone. For me, at 15 seconds, it's one vibration and about one and a half ring.

Then, from that point on, if you need to forward your phone to a land line, use the *21*<number># code. This setup works well for me.

To take it off forwarding, I use the #21# code and the no answer/busy/unreachable remain intact when you go back to the Call forwarding menu.
