Default All of a sudden - Major browser headaches!!

Please Login to Remove!

Good day, everyone.

I'm experiencing a major problem that no amount of searching seems to provide an answer for, so here goes:

I have a BBpearl w/ T-Mo as carrier, and an unlimited Data plan ($19.99).
Had the phone for a week, and no problems. Yesterday, I received a voicemail that I KNOW was left about 5-6 hours earlier. Then I sent an email to myself @ my BB mail account. Took hours to show up. Simple browser pages that loaded in 2-3 seconds now take 4 minutes (or more), and when they load, no images! I hadn't changed a single setting at that point.

This morning, emails went right through, and I noticed that my Yahoo! Messenger for BB (not the OZ one) is working fine. However, still the same junk w/ the browser. Called T-Mo, and they say there is no known service interruption. Re-sent my service books, yanked the battery.....

Nothing is helping. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

So it isnt only you... who knows what it is though... im thinking its an issue on Tmo end.

I'm starting to think so. Just read another post where a few folks have had T-Mo probs today. They get $5 credits for their trouble. The amount of time I have to spend talking to T-Mo to get that consideration is worth WAY more than $5, so I'm not going to bother.

I have an 8100 and having the same browser problems. Pages are loading very slow, with no images. First noticed the problem last evening about 10:00 PM EST. It sounds like it is a wide spread problem.

Wirelessly posted (7105t: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/2.0.4719/1316; en; U; ssr))

Just to throw my hat in the ring I'm having the same issues with the browser, though no email issues here. Also thought I'd tell you guys that opera mini works perfectly, most likely because it uses the wap.voicestream.com APN rather than the blackberry APN. I was having issues with gtalk all of a sudden until I resent service books, but that might be unrelated.

I know this is an 8100 post discussion, but I noticed last night that my 8700 started acting as well and it's on Rogers. Still acting up now. Not sure if they are related since it's different handhleds and different networks, but thought I would put my 2 cents in.

.02 to add...

I have the 8100 on Cingular and it seems no worse than usual as far as speed.

(Just stating that to confirm carrier related issue)

Good luck guys.

I finished talking with Tier 2 support at T-Mo and it is a confirmed problem. Data speeds are very slow, and images are not showing up.

I was told their tech are working on it.

I'm also having the browser issue and received a message about service books for Google talk (8700). T-Mo knows about it, but they don't have a resolution time.

I still have the same problem here on the west coast and Tmo told me that internet portion will be slow for first half of the day today and emails are working fine. it is taking me about 5 mins to get the page.
Tmo confirmed that you might be able to go to the internet sites but you may not get pictures/images displayed.

Here in Ohio I'm having the similar problems with the web...mail seems to work ok though...if I use Opera it seems to work alittle quicker than the built in browser
