Default Pin showing as FFFFFFFF

Please Login to Remove!

I pulled my blackberry 7230 out of its holster and it was at some kind of test screen where you could press certian keys and it would vibrate or beep and you had to press "s" "t" "a" "r" "t" once i did that it rebooted and didn't get any more emails. So I tried to sync with my pc and I got a message saying that my email was set to sync with pin [don't know my old pin] and the device I have hooked up was pin FFFFFFFF would I like to switch. What do I do now, I can't get emails but everything else works fine. Thanks for the help!

Wow. I haven't heard of that one. Does it say the same on the status screen? (options->status) Also have you tried resetting the device?

Question

Weird I thought the PIN was hard coded into the BlackBerry, If you did a reflash of the O/S then I would suppose the only thing you could do is contact the point of sale and inquire about a replacement.

Almost sounds like a virus (?)
Have you installed any other programs recently?
