I'm trying to restore my address book to my bb 8707v, whcih included addresses i've added personally to my blackberry,
however, the Address book databases, doesn't show up on the list of restorable databases, when i use desktop manager,
any ideas

Are you on a BES ? If so, you have to turn off the wireless redirection on your address book (in the option of your Bberry) ... then with a refresh you should be able to see the adress book in the restorable items.
