Default BES user on ATT Wireless Problem/question

Please Login to Remove!

I'm new to running BES. I've got a user who has a 7280 that's been activated, and I've got mail going to him, but whenever he sends mail his BB INSISTS on sending it out via the mail account through the "attwireless.blackberry.net" e-mail address, not our corporate one. What have I missed in config? I have 4 other users (myself included) which aren't having this problem. We bought a mini-BES as a pilot for these.

Thanks!

options go to Message services, make sure it's set to "desktop" not "web client". That'd be my first start after what I've learned today.

You are correct. You have the option to change the "sent from" address on your BB.

By default too, any message that comes in via web client will also be set to send any replies to that email back via the web client

also even after you change the message services. You will still need to change it in the actual message you are composing (scroll alll the way up to: Using...) as it will default to the last service you used to send an email to that contact with, regardless of what is set in message services.

Hope that makes sense

To make it easier, just make sure to check the Using.. field at the top of the message you are composing.

Bingo! Thanks gang, and emale your stuff made perfect sense. It was that "use the previous client" thing that was catching me. I don't think this is all that intuitive, but I'm learning!
