In PDP is it possible to add a xxx8220;List Resyncxxx8221; for the List section similar to what the email section has?

Why? Are you using the standalone version and PDP?

I suppose I am, if clicking on “My Lists” in PDP takes me to the standalone.

In my brief experience, the PDP integrated version and the standalone access the same Lists database.

Ixxx8217;ve noticed that the two arenxxx8217;t always synced together. Is it because Ixxx8217;m entering data in the standalone instead of in PDP?

I guess I'm slow grasping the concept, what kind of list are you guys making? I'm hitting a block trying to figure out what to use this for.

Still early days but I have a dated Task list for every day at work (with notes; very effective), a general list of things to do (replaces my old Tasks application), a personal list of thoughts/priorities, and my current experiment is a password protected daily journal which is so far working very well.
Think also shopping lists, packing list for going up North, things to get done on a Saturday downtown list...
It's very programmable in terms of how you can structure individual lists. I'm just starting to scratch the surface of that.

Maybe it's because you have them both open at the same time? try Exiting from PDP and then opening it again. I bet that the Lists are refreshed.
Personally, I prefer to use it standalone, at least at this point, so I don't have it on my PDP Summary screen.

I've been testing PD Lists for the last week.

I'm using it to create a shopping list for the store (excellent) and to track the stuff I need to gather up for camp in the morning for my four kids (superb).

I am also using Rexwireless Idea Matrix and To Do Matrix (read about them on the forums).

I use the To Do Matrix for more complex things such as my Getting Things Done (GTD) task lists. To Do Matrix is superior for more complex things like GTD because:

-Allows for hotkey additions of new items
-Allows for hotkey additions of new items to the proper category
-Allows for moving items from one category to another with hotkey
-Provides for a wireless backup directly from their application.

I like PD Lists for smaller pure list based tasks.

I have not tried integrating PD Lists with Pocket Day.

I was also a beta tester for PocketDay Lists and now I am a proud user of both PocketDay Professional, PocketDay Sports and PocketDay Lists. For PocketDay Sports and PocketDay Lists, I have the standalone versions and also have both embedded in PocketDay Professional, the PocketDay Lists always stay in sync and you can have two seperate sports active at the same time, one in PocketDay Professional and the other in PocketDay Sports standalone.

I use PDP. Lists seems great...hoping to find a lot of use for it, so I can purchase.

After few days of use, some suggestions/comments:

-Allow for quick addition of new items to categories. When I've got the view sorted and segregated by category - I would like the input of new items to default that item into the category I'm viewing. As it stands now, assigning categories requires way too many keystrokes as you manually have to thumbwheel/click to select the category.

-When I'm assigning a category - I want to be able to assign it by either trackwheeling or typing the first letter of the category. If I have categories "garage"grandma","grocery" -- I want the pressing of the letter "g" to cycle through each category. Makes for much smoother data entry.

EDIT/NOTE: Oops - I find that I am able to use the first letter to assign categories. Not sure what I was doing wrong before.

-Not sure if this is a bug but if you're adding an item and setup categories -- those new categories are not viewable from the "choose option" menu while you are still in that item. You have to save the item and then go back to edit it -- then the categories will be there from the lookup. Almost as if it must refresh the lookup list.

-Filters? By category, due, priority?

-I was hoping "Email List" would send a readable list. Instead it emails what appears to be a CSV file. I'd rather be able to share my lists with someone who may not own a BB/PDLIST. I'm constantly creating shopping lists, lists of things to bring on a trip -- and not everyone I exchange emails with has a BB. One option should be to send the raw list as a text file.

I do love the clean interface and relative ease of setting up a new list.

I've been playing with PDL all weekend and have one question. I've reath thur this post and also the Cross River board and can't find the answer.

~When I set an item in a list with an alarm and the itme becomes due the only thing my BB does is vibrate. Is there a way to set it to sound a tone? I've looked all thru the program and also in my profile set up.
