Post Cheapest UK BB Tariff?

Please Login to Remove!

Hiya everyone!

This is my first post.. so be gentle.... I've been doing some reasearch (and I'm sure some of you will point me in the right direction towards other links and so on) into the cheapest blackberry tariff, and here are my findings..

(all prices are per month, inclusive of VAT for the standard BWC service

Opp Service Data Included Cost (inc VAT) Cost per additional MB
o2 BWC 25mb 15 0.85
T-MobileBWC 50mb 17 unknown
VodafoneBWC 6mb (joke!) 15.74 2

Thoughts? Does anyone have a better plan through any UK opp?

Thanks

Jon

See my other post. Not sure if I'm permitted to link to UK sites - mods advise?

T-Mobile UK is, I think...

17UKP a month for 50MB fair use on mail [can't recall - maybe it's 30MB] but really difficult to use more than a few MB on BB email as it's quite efficient + 3MB general GPRS (eg browsing). Blackberry email and general GPRS use different APNs and can thus be charged for differently. Run-on rate is 1UKP/MB, I think. Calls are very pricy on this plan though (50p/min?).

But a Flext20 + Web'n'Walk + BB email is:

20.63 (Flext + WnW) +
5.88 (Blackberry)
= 26.51UKP
a month on line.

For that you'll get:

the 50MB BB email
+ unlimited GPRS (there's a fair use policy),
+ 34UKP of phone credit (allowance) you can spend on calls or texts as you wish in any combination (@20p/min UK any network any time, 10p/txt).

To me that's a LOT better value than the 17UKP BB-only plan above. For about an extra 10 a month you have all that call allowance plus unlimited general GPRS. Of course you have to be able to afford the extra. Device is on top, but 7100 or 7290 might be free on some of those plans?

I have a version of one of these plans myself giving even more phone allowance a month.
