iOS + BlackBerry OS = not compatible. There is no way to do what you want.

tsac, why did you make that comment. The iPod Touch is WiFi capable.

Typically, the work around has been to "jailbreak" the iPod and then use Bluever on the iPod and I believe a Cradlepoint router connected to the Blackberry.

I would suggest purchasing a mobile router. They're small, and data plans are relatively inexpensive. Yes, it's an additional cost, but it would be far easier than trying to go through the BlackBerry.

Motorcycle Mama
I'm not sure I would suggest jailbreaking any device form this forum. As was stated, the direct answer is no.

As for your comment, I simply found the attempt to use the BB for internet access amazing due to the cost associated with cell service plus the effort etc.

1. There's nothing wrong or illegal with jailbreaking an iPod or iPhone.

2. The point is that if the user already has internet access that they are paying for on their BlackBerry, they want to be be able tether the second device (iPod, iPad, tablet or whatever) with the BlackBerry to enable an internet connection where WiFi is not available. It's a common request/desire. It's no different from people wanting to tether a PlayBook to a BlackBerry.

The answer is that you can't directly connect them but that you can connect them through a third party device.

With the onset of WiFi Hotspot on the OS 7 devices, the process will be much more straight forward.

thank you motorcycle mama for explaining that. You are correct. I have un used data on my b.b. That I could use on my ipod. I wanted to be able to use all the data that I pay for because I'm finding I'm not useing it all on my cell. My question now is.. What third party program? device? Do I need to use to make this posible. And I'm surprised that b.b. Has not made this posible. I would think they would want to support data usage so they could make more money.
