Default This Handheld device includes... cant press ok. Why?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all, I was hoping you would be able to help.
up
I'm trying to sort my bb out its an 8900 on voda. when i turn it on it tells me its turning straight back off again and it does so after its gone thro a start up verification. I read to try and press the 'Undo' button from start up, (i have to take battery in then out for it to start up btw). Once its started up i get the message 'This handheld device includes software that is proprietary and confidential to research... etc.' if you need to know the whole message let me know. All i have to do is press ok, but to begin with i cant even scroll up and down. I worked out if i press the letter a on the keyboard it will allow me to scroll up and down. ive scrolled down to the bottom and tried to click ok and it doesnt work. ive pressed every button you can think of.

Please Help as i want to ditch my exspensive iphone4

Stu

I assume this is a used device? If so it could be due to an IT policy or other security measures.

You can try to remove that IT Policy, see the FAQ for info.

You can also try wiping the device with Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) and reloading the OS. But if it were me, I would return it and get my money back.

Yes a full BB type contract is required unless you want to limit it to calls and text only. Then at that point it does not make sense to have a BB because a standard cell phone will work.

Also check to see the various plans offered. Sometimes carriers offer plans below advertised levels to various companys or organizations.

You have to ask for a blackberry data plan, also not its not every carrier that provide pay as you go BB data plan.
Did you manage to get it to the home screen?
