I bought a new battery 3 or 4 months back and it's been working fine.
Yesterday I enabled gprs on my BB.
The BB had about 3/4 battery left on it when I went in to the hospital. I tried to use my phone and noticed it had lost it's signal and I noticed pictures weren't loading in the browser. So I put my phone away.
About 2 minutes later I took my phone out of my pocket to check the time and noticed it was a black screen and the red light was flashing.
When I got home the red light had stopped flashing, so I tried to charge it. When I connect the BB to the charger the red light flashes every couple of seconds but no egg timer or any power seems to come to the screen.
When I unplug from the charger it stops flashing. When I take out the battery and put it in again it flashes for a short period of time.
You can try a new battery. Go to an Orange shop and see if they'll lend you one to try for a couple minutes. If a new fully-charged battery fixes it then you have to replace your battery. I recommend only original batteries - not some cheap eBay knockoff.
If the battery doesn't fix the problem then it may be time to reload your OS.
I will find an orange store and ask to try a new battery as suggested. I will report back for instructions on reloading the OS if need be. Thanks for your reply.
So the guys in the orange store have told me that they don't sell battery's so they were unable to test it for me. They said I could buy it from their online store, but if it was not the battery that was the problem I would not be able to return the battery.
Is it worth me trying to change the Os? The way I'm looking at it is atleast if I can test the Os it wont cost me anything if it's not that that is the problem. Your thoughts?
Whenever that happens to me, I plug my BlackBerry into the charger, and hit the power button. It doesn't do anything, but if you leave it on, and hit the power button every so often, the phone will start up again, within 10-20 mins.
