Hello BB Fam ! I have a Bold 9650 w/Alltel nd I'm trying to upgrade to the new OS 6 software. I actually went to the BlackBerry website to update it nd it asked me to connect my BB to the computer via USB cable. I have the Desktop Software installed on my computer nd I connected the phone like the BB website told me nd when I clicked the Check for Updates button, it didn't do ANYTHING. I noticed in the lower left-hand corner of Internet Explorer it had the yellow caution triangle/exclamation symbol nd said "error on page". I would like to know is there another way to upgrade to OS 6 or do I have to wait until Alltel gets the update ( may be NEVER ! ] ? Thanks in advance for your advice if any of you can help me !

As said above, the yellow sticky has the OS and the instructions. Follow the instructions EXACTLY and be patient. Makes sure neither device runs out of power, as it can take an hour or longer to complete. And make sure you have everything backed up first.

But a word of advice and caution. If your is working as advertised and as you want and need, then it really isn't broken and doesn't need to be fixed with an OS upgrade. Read through the 9600 section for info on OS6 on the 9650. It wasn't made to run that OS, so performance is going to be somewhat less than expected.
