Default Phone numbers on BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

Although there is a method to get the BES (4.6) to pick up the phone number from blackberries i have 80 odd from 800 blackberries that dont have the phone number on the BES. I could approach each blackberry user and carry out a 4 step process that will sort the issue out however it will be a pain to do this manually. I have the numbers, is there any way of inserting the numbers manually myself directly into the BES console or the DB itself? Anyone done this? Pros and cons?

There's really nothing stopping you from manually updating the SQL database, but it's not a great idea.
This is absolutely not supported by RIM, nor is it recommended by me personally.
The SQL database is fine to query at will, but updates are typically frowned upon.

Just activate them again, that usually works here.

set an activation password on BES.

Send an email that their deivce will be disabled if they dont activate ASAP.
Write detailed instructions on how they can activate in the email along with activation password.

Other than that, call each one and walk them through.
