Enterprise Activation & Phone Logging

During Enterprise Activation,
I've noticed a users handheld takes unusually long time. This was due to that phone logging. It was showing 3594 items.
Also, in the phone area, where the logs show up to 10 to 15 calls made/received, I noticed there are calls way back last year's. And there are last month's call embedded between those last year's calls.
My question is, is there a way to delete all or minimize the phone call logs from the handheld, BES server or where????
