I searched this but found no definitive answer.
Upgraded from 8830 to 9650 with Verizon. Now every time I get a voicemail I get a SMS text message saying I have a voicemail. Called Verizon and the tech said he never heard of it and I needed to wipe the phone and start over. Great service.......
Anyway, does anyone have a definitive answer as to if this is a carrier issue and if there is any way to turn it off? Thanks.

Ok, just talked to Verizon again. They say it is a glitch is the operating syatem on the phone and there is no fix. Anybody know?

Kinda sounds like "visual voice mail" we have with at&t. However, since I am not with verizon, I don't know if they have that.

Maybe that's one of the things that will be fixed with the new release Verizon is supposed to start releasing today.

When we upgraded to OS 5 on the Tour that feature disappeared -- and I know someone who wants it back. What OS is on the 9650?
