Default Bold 9000 'Died' after battery pull

Please Login to Remove!

I was in Blackberry App World and pressed on a download for the screenshots for a theme and the egg timer appeared. After about 5 mins it was still there so I did a battery pull and when I replaced it the red light didnt come back on. Subsequent battery pulls and replaces did nothing and the phone seems dead. No difference when I plug in the USB cord via the charger or pc.

I also tried removing the battery and plugging in power and it didnt say anything about "no battery".

Is there such a thing as a hardware reset button ? or has this died do you think ?

No reset button.
do search for JL_cmdr on this forum and replace the OS. Unless the App is defective or you did not wait long enough for it to finish you corrupted the OS.
simple thing to do just dont get pushy, it takes a while.

try leaving battery out overnight, and with no acharger attached it should come back... happens to some people with the 9000...

I had a similar problem shortly after I purchased my 9000. One day it just crashed/died, I tried rebooting it by pulling the battery, but received no reaction. No lights, screen etc.

I thought it was a faulty battery and even bought a new one, but that didn't work either. Finally, I just ended up tossing it to the side and after a couple of weeks it miraculously powered on when I popped the battery back in. I've tried looking up this problem on various different forums and it seems like it is fairly common with no exact solution.
