Default BES Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

Good day all,

We are going to be upgrading our Exchange to 2010 and our Bes possibly at the same time. I was wondering if anyone has had any expirience upgrading to BES 5.0 (probably sp1) with Exchange 2010. We currently use 4.1.6 with Exchange 2003.

Thank you,

Michael

Upgrading to BES 5 fisrt is the best step.

I posted good info in this thread about upgrade to BES 5
General BES Question - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Then once done with BES upgrade, you make sure all prerequisites are done for 2010 and move besadmin mailbox first. then move the rest over.

I am just back from WES 2010, and one of the question that came up during the discussion was whether to upgrade Exchange first or BES first. I agreed with their views that Exchange should be upgraded first. Let the dust settle down first on the Exchange. And then plan your BES upgrade.

So how do the devices still work when mailbox is on 2010 and they are on BES 4.x?
