Get this error when an 8900 starts up. The thing is. i cant click ok. The keyboard also does not seem to respond.

Is it possible that this error could cause the keyboard to not respond? or is ther ea problem with the keyboard?

some critical OS file is missing; the fastest way to fix this is to wipe your device.

unless, this happened right after you installed some 3rd party software... then its a good bet that the new software is causing this.

best of luck!

So i reloaded the os but the keyboard still does not work.

I stripped the phone and tried pressing the buttons on the board it self there ( the white thingy ) but those buttons don't respond either.

The trackball does not work either. When i press the actual white buttons the keyboard nor screen lights up. I know the phone is on though but nothing is responding.

Even the side buttons don't respond.
Looking at new phone/mobo here huh?

You're at least looking at a new midplate. The midplate has all the keyboard and button circuit tapes on it. If you're good at small electronics it's not hard to do. The midplate runs about $43 from cnn.cn. However, you really don't know for sure that is the problem so it could end up being a waste of $43.

Probably time to just get a new device.
