I have a 9500 on the O2 network. I can receive emails, but I do not have the option of sending them. Does anone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance,

If you reply to a received email, you type in it and when you go to send, you only get the option of save draft?

If so, go to options>advanced options>service books.

Find 2 service books like:
[email address] [CICAL]
[email address] [CMIME]

Highlight each, click the blackberry button, and choose delete on both. Pull the battery out. Put battery back in. When phone comes up, go to options>advanced options>host routing table. Then push the blackberry button and choose "register now" this should cause service books to be resent.

Attempt to create a NEW message and try to send.

***DO NOT TRY TO REPLY TO AN OLD MESSAGE RECEIVED BEFORE THIS IS DONE AS IT WILL NOT CHANGE FROM SAVE AS DRAFT*** (send yourself a new email AFTER doing this if you wish to test reply)

Tried this, when I go to type the reply (to a fresh email) I get the message

"No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft."

Clearly this is not entirely true; it has just received an email, but will not send one.

When I write a new message I get a similar Error.

Any other ideas?

Rick

Should this procedure work on a BES email address? I'm currently able to receive and send email, but not able to reply to an existing BES email.

Additionally, message read/unread status is not syncing from the bb to the exchange server.

My BIS account is working just fine.

I'm on a 9700 v5.0.0.442 and BES Pro 4.1.4.3 against Exchange 2003.

I've tried rerunning Ent Act also.

For me this occured when i deleted the service books associated with an orphaned BES account on the BB (I was still seeing it as a mailbox and calendar option even though we only have one bes server. was making things annoying as new calendar entries were appearing on the old cal and therefore not syncing with Outlook)

Thanks in advance for any help.
