After every synchronization of my black berry bold with my Outlook calendar and contacts, black berry’s home screen is automatically changed to default home screen. Can you help me how to disable this setting?

You're not alone. My 9000 does this as well. I'm using the standard Precision AT&T theme but with a black wallpaper. After a sync, the wallpaper changes back to the default for this theme.

Not sure what causes it.

does the location of your (new) home screen image change during/after sync?

Usually happens when you have Mass Storage Mode on, and not prompt and have your wallpaper stored on your Media Card.

What zerog indicates is very close to what I am seeing.

The wallpaper i'm using is a black.jpg image stored on internal memory. Reason for storing on internal mem is if the SD card is removed, I still retain the same wallpaper.

When I connect the BB to my pc, I get prompted(on the BB) for the device password to enable Mass Storage Mode.
If I enter the password to enable MSM and do the sync, my wallpaper is reset to default for the theme.

However, If I do NOT enter the password and do the sync, the wallpaper stays the same(black.jpg)

This obviously has something to do with mass storage mode and the fact that the 9000 device memory is presented to the PC as a drive.
