Default iGoogle settings being erased using 9700.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I just switched from a Bold 9000 yesterday to the new Bold 9700. I love it. The only problem so far is that as soon as I logged in to my iGoogle account on the new 9700 it erased all the settings/widgets, not just on the phone, but the PC too. I even created another account and logged in to that after setting it up. Same thing as soon as I log in on the 9700 it resets the widgets again. This has worked fine on all my previous Blackberries. Any one else have this problem? Is there a setting I am missing or something? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Can you try setting up the widgets on igoogle from the phone?
Its possible google is treating it as a mobile, and therefore assumes you want different things.
Setting up the same ones might then make them stay when you next log in.

Thanks for the response. I cannot get the same items if I set it up from the phone. They give you a limited amount of items to choose and customize from and I can't add specific widgets from the mobile site. They all worked before on the 9000, the 8310, 8300. 8110, 8100 and 8700( the 857 didn't have this option ;)). I realize it will not necessarily show all the widgets I have on the PC, but it allows me to select the ones I want.

Hmm, perhaps google is treating it differently then.
Its either an OS 5 bug type thing, or its google having problems with the device type.
