Default Do all apps from 8900 work with 9700?

Since it is practically the same device screen and OS-wise, can a user just get the apps from 8900 transferred over to 9700?

The 8900 runs 4.6.1 and the 9700 runs 5.0. They're different OSes.

Unless you're referring to a leaked version of 5.0 for the 8900. I would assume, in that case, that you could use the same apps.

I see, I thought 8900 ran 5.0 as well.
Then I can understand some apps not being compatible.

Thanks!

I brought this up to T-Mobile when I was talking with them the other night and they did tell me that many app producers are working to update their apps to be compatible with the 9700 ASAP. The rep I talked to predicted that there would be plenty of resources available for the 9700 sooner than later.

Hopefully RIM won't be making these odd screen changes from now on and stick this new custom half VGA res, and release similar devices with same OS.
