Default How to upgrade...Or...Am I already current? (3 questions...

New 7290 with system software version 3.8.0.139 (platform 1.8.0.99)
I use cingular...

I have a 7290 version of Desktop software version 4.0...and that software shows two versions of handheld software when I'm in the "about" screen for desktop manager, handheld software tab.

My understanding is that the handheld (or desktop...) should ask me if I wish to upgrade, but only if I'm using a version of the op sys that is earlier than available.

Since it isn't asking me to upgrade, an I current already?

Also, I go to the application loader, and it says I have no system software loaded...What is this telling me? Is it talking about 3rd P. apps? Or is something supposed to show up there?

Finally, how do I determine what my key store PW is? Older versions of desktop manager didn't ask, and I have no idea what it is...

Many thanks!

Sean

I have answered the first question, and solved it by deleting the vendor.xml file from my computer...That means the second question is moot.

Any thoughts on the third question?

Matt,

Which answer do you need? If the key store issue is the one, when you upgrade, the new op sys in the phone will ask you for a new key store password.

Good luck!
