Default Problem with contacts not moving to phone book.

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7230 that I desperately tried copying my Sim info onto the BB with no luck. So i imported all my contacts, and of about 80 contacts 5 or so jumped into my phonebook. I can select them when I go to the Phone menu. How do I make the rest more over, is there something in Outlook I have to change.
Using Outlook XP.

Thanks

If you add your phone numbers to your Outlook Address Book and then sync it up, you should see all the names, numbers, emails in your BB address book. When you try to make a call it should only show those entries that have a phone. Maybe you have an issue in your sync mapping?

Nope, It looks like it's mapped right. And there are lots of contacts with buisnessor home numbers in there... Is there a way to push it in to the Phone book?

Then I am not sure what you mean by "phone book". I make calls from the address book. If you mean to push the phone numbers to the SIM card, not sure that can be done.

I also saw in a few other posts where they said to go to simcard in options and click on the wheel to copy sim card phone humbers to the BB. I have a 7230, there is no way to click the wheel. Supposedly they were using a 7230 also.

LOL That is your call log.

From your phone icon, where you see the list of recent calls, you can click on the trackwheel which will bring up a menu of call from address book, call from ....., pick address book and then find the person you want to call.

I find it easier to just go to the address book first and then when you click on a person, it will ask if you want to call, email, sms, etc that person. The options will vary based on the person and what contact info you have on that person.

Hope that helps,

Mitch
