Default Curve 8900 Trackball sensitivity

Please Login to Remove!

I have got a new Blackberry Curve 8900, which i bought on June 10th and I love it. But, compared to my old pearl, the trackball seems to require more pressure be applied before it responds to movements. Is this correct?

with the Pearl the trackball felt larger, but with this curve 8900 it feels smaller, and because it is recessed into the fascia slightly deeper, appears to require pressure be applied before it moves.

is this correct, or is mine faulty?

Thanks,
Brad

Welcome to BB Forums!

Trackball sensitivity could be adjusted. Options>Screen/Keyboard.

Thanks, i have tried that, but I'm asking more about the pressure which needs to be applied before moving the trackball. because i seem to have to apply more pressure than i did with the pearl, and want to know if this is correct considering that the trackball is slightly more recessed into the fascia with the curve 8900

It's normal. It was weird adjusting from my 8320's trackball to the 8900 but I got the hang of it quickly. I seemed to need to apply more pressure pushing the trackball down on the 8900 so it will scroll, but it's much easier to scroll.

I have mine set to 50, it's less sensitive and I use the short cuts.
