Default 8820 Wont boot up

Please Login to Remove!

Ive just got an 8820 off a friend who had left it in its box for a few months, I plugged it in to charge but it will not turn on.

When I plug the charger in a red light comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off then the phone is dead

Please help

Welcome to the forums!

When a phone has been sitting in a box for a while, it takes a little time to recharge the battery.

Leave it on the charger for a couple of hours. If the situation hasn't changed, try a different charger. If that doesn't improve the situation, try a different battery. If you still get no results, go talk to your friend.

just had some progress, i took out the battery then plugged in the charger. The red light came on as previous then I pressed the power button and a white screen came on with a battery with a line through.
