Default How fast can you type?

So, although I'm generally pretty happy with my Storm these days (currently on .141), I still do get frustrated sometimes when I try to type more than a couple of emails.

Even after a month or so, I'm still significantly slower than on my old Bold. Just curious how everyone else feels they're doing?

Wirelessly posted (BB 8330)

Its definitely different from a BB with a keyboard. I have had mine for a few months now and am getting pretty good with it. My main reason for keeping it is the awesome screen.

Thanks guys - I agree. I can live with the slower typing because I really like the big screen.

Can you guys click on a response in the poll above?

I am using a Storm because one was never deployed in my office (due to writing issues), and my gen 1 Curve's trackball got a "trackball click" issue, even after replacing the trackball and attempting to clean the contacts underneath the device. I find myself not responding via Storm because it's still too frustrating to type on it. Been tweaking the settings, upgrading the OS, working on my typing technique. When I grab my 8800, I could care less about the smaller screen, I am typing with near-perfect word construction at a satisfying speed. I will stick with the Storm only as long as it takes for Verizon to release the Tour. Please release the Tour tomorrow!

Significantly slower than on my BOLD, but my speed has improved since the the first time I used it. I strongly doubt I'll be ever able to reach that speed.

Sightly slower for me than my 8320 Curve which actually has helped me in my profession. With my Curve I'd respond to emails and text WAY too fast, when it came to me getting busy with something else and not responding as quickly I'd get in trouble or lose out on opportunities. Now I have an email/text etiquette, I respond within 10 minutes instead of seconds and the Storm was my fix. I like it, and i love the screen.

After about three weeks of use, I'm typing about as fast as I was using my 8820. I used the business card trick and changed the keyboard settings via the sticky and now I'm really happy with typing on my phone.

Thanks guys. At least now I don't feel like a slow learner because I haven't reached the speeds I achieved on my previous blackberries! For the minority of you who have reached the same speed as on your previous blackberries - I have to say I'm impressed!
