1. From the homescreen press the SEND key. Then press the MENU key and select options>Call Logging>change to none.

2. Go here to find yuor PIN: Options>Status

your pin is used for many things u can do as stated as above or you can press the left alt and aA and then the letter H and you will get your pin.....the pin can be used for the bb messenger and also to send messages back and forth to people with a blackberry

as for the emails and call log same area i believe you can change that not positive but it should be here.......go to your message folder with everything is showing up press the blackberry button go down to options and it would be in that area somewhere prbably under General options

congrats on your new BB

For the email. Go to your Messages Folder. Press the Menu Key and select options. Select general options and scroll down to SMS and Email Inboxes and change this from combined/theme controlled to separate. Exit and save the options.

You can't change the PIN. It's assigned to the device.

Hope you aren't one of those people who don't like the SSN because it doesn't look cute enough. j/k

Your PIN shouldn't be that long. Its only 8 characters long and should look something like 1A2B3C4D

Hi everybody......'Nother newb. Impressed w/ the collective knowledge I'm seeing on here so far, and willingness to help each other out.

Didn't want to start another thread for this, and since the OP's questions seem to be answered, thought I'd ask here instead.......

Why when I try using the messenger, is it asking for other people's PIN's or email addy's, if the PIN is considered private like a SSN?

Welcome to the forums.

The PIN is only as private as you would like to make it. It is a unique identifier for blackberry devices.
