Default Problem snycing Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

I'm using Desktop Manager v4.6. For several months, the sync worked well. But today when I tried to sync, it wiped out most of my data on my Outlook on the desktop. The data stayed on the BB.
Then I retried, but nothing transferred. It remains on the BB, but will not syn to the desktop.
I changed the "synchronization" settings (Device to computer), but still nothing is transferring.

I have had the same problem and still having it to some degree. I sync my BB both at office and home. I only sync the calendar at the office. So to get the appts. off the BB I sync'd it at home device to outlook. then made a .pst of the calendar and loaded that at the office. I had lost the last six months of my calendar, but it was on my BB.

I know make regular .pst backups of my calendar and contacts.

What I have going on now is that I cannot sync all calendar entries or it will crash (my calendar goes back 5 years). So I have it set for 90 days past /future. When I sync it wants to delete entries from outlook for the past items.

Sorry this didn't answer your question, but you are not alone. Also didn't try to hijack.

Thanks,
Jace

What did you do to the device right before this happened? Install a new app? Changed a setting in DM or Outlook?

Sounds to me like a setting in the DM configuration was changed.

I had the exact same problem that drove me potty..............In the end I had to phone and pay for RIM to fixx which they did and they were fantastic.
Some BUFFFFFFOOOOON of the nhigest order at o2 in the UK decided to resend me service book as my emails were being a bit sticky and they also sent me another set called CICAL which meant I was running 2 x calenders and they were confilcting with each other..........Nearly lost the whole lot.
There was a fix for mine but it took a while. Also had to go through to see what damage it had done to back dates and furture but it was no too bad.........
That may be your prob.
Didd you ask for the services books to be resent?

Delete any service books ending in CICAL and try to re-sync.

I suspect you must have installed the new Facebook 1.5...

It changes the default calendar.

Go to Options; Advanced Options; Default Services; and there make sure that you pick the right one in the Calendar (CICAL) option

.
