Default Pandora issue

Please Login to Remove!

I didn't know whether or not to post this in this forum thread or in the Aftermarket Programs thread since I don't know if it's the phone or the program haha.

I started Pandora yesterday and got this message TWICE:
The application pandora $2dradio has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy.

Again, it pops up twice then it goes to the log-in page. I try to log-in and it just sits at the sign-in screen, but doesn't freeze.

Any suggestions?

Well, I'm sitting here listening to my "Otis Rush" station as I type this out, so it's probably not something wrong with Pandora itself.

First, have you tried a hard reset (the pulling the battery out thing)? That's almost always my first recommendation. Next, you might try uninstalling and re-installing Pandora. If you go that route, I would definitely throw in a hard reset, as described above, in between the removal/install.

HTH.

I usually give my BB a hard reset every 3-5 days just because it starts to get a little laggy around then. I did one yesterday, I think, just for sh*ts and giggles, and it still does it today. I'm going to try the link to that akosnitzky posted above to see what it brings up then I'm going to re-install Pandora.

So I checked out the link and it had some intricate stuff to do on it so I opted the route of re-installing Pandora with the battery pull...... Same issue. Now, instead of it popping up twice, it pops up THREE times.

I didn't do what the link had said cause I don't think I have BES and my BB came straight out of a new box so it shouldn't have any Enterprise software on it.

I don't know.

Not necessarily. Many IT policies will allow downloads but halt any progress if the app needs to access data on the BlackBerry that is defined as "proprietary". For example, I can download Docs To Go, but I really can't use it's full functionlaity becuase my docs are proprietary to my company. I can read docs form my BlackBerry but that's about it.

Hello To All,

I am new to the site and the Curve 8310. I downloaded the Pandora software and have no problem connecting and listening to music. My problem is the music is very harsh sounding or it breaks up. I tried lowering the volume but it still sounds terrible. Any suggestions???

I want to delete it and I can do it through the desktop manager. Everytime I click on the checkbox it re-checks itself.

Just delete it on the device, you don't need to use Desktop Manager. Options > Advanced Options > Applications. Highlight Pandora, menu key, delete. You may get a prompt to reboot device. If so, do it.
