Default 4.5 OS problems

Please Login to Remove!

So I finally downloaded the new OS for my Curve 8310. Seemed like a good move, but then the problem began. At first it had no problem accessing my SD card. Then it started freezing. after many, many battery pulls the problem persisted. Right now it will get to the main screen, then just freeze. But when I run it without the SD card it's all good. Any suggestions on remedying this issue?

Haha, yes patience. The process above can be time consuming, so you will need patience. Most issues with your blackberry can be solved. So just have some patience, check these forums. There's a TON of information and very intelligent, helpful people here too.

I deleted all of the BBtext andThumbs files. However now it's taking forever just to load thumbnails, and in some cases freezing when I try to look at certain pictures. Keep in mind I have about 300mb of photos. Is this normal?

Did you move everything off of the card to your PC and format the card?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask a question, and I apologize because I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but yesterday my BB world edition deleted my calender events, emailed and texts. I do not synch with my computer, but my calender had a lot of important information in it. Is there anyway i can restore my bb back to yesterday (like you can do with a laptop) in order to retreive this info or is it lost and gone forever? And please do not tell me I need to backup because I already know this!

Thanks!

Bre-Ann, see my replies in your thread. It's not good netiquette to post a new question in someone else's thead.

Yeah you can.

How do I downgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

It may take a while initially to scan through the files on you card again. It should clear up, give it time.

lol thank you. The fact that I dropped the picture amount on the card down to six small pictures and it's still acting up is more than enough reason to make me want to downgrade. 15 minutes and it's only loaded one picture thumbnail. Once again thank you for being patient and helpful.
